Emory Prescott Cary Sr., 85, of 2900 Hatcher Drive, Columbus, died Thursday at his home.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with private burial in
Riverside Cemetery, Macon, Ga., according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus.
Mr. Cary was born May 13, 1905, in Valdosta, Ga., son of Jessie and Mamie Cary. He lived
in Columbus since 1936 and retired as a self-employed broker, having worked through
Spencer-McDaniel Insurance Co.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and of the Columbus Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; a son, Emory Prescott Cary Jr. of Lilburn, Ga.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the Trinity Episcopal Church building fund. transcribed by David H. Israel
