JUNIOR RUSSELL HOFFMAN, 56, of 200 North Main St. died at Veterans Administration Center in Martinsburg, WV on Monday. Born in Middletown, he was a son of Russell I. and Nellie Naille Hoffman.

He attended Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army. He had been employed by the Boonsboro Bakery for many years, and later at a chauffeur for Dr. Hubert Wade of Boonsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Albertah Ridenour Hoffman; daughter, Mrs. Barinda Golden, Boonsboro; sisters, Mrs. Beulah Guyton and Mrs. Elsie Martz and Mrs. Dolores Summers, all of Frederick; brother, Eugene Hoffman, Brunswick; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Burial in Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville.

Mount Airy, Md. - ALBERTHA LOUISE RIDENOUR HOFFMAN, 80, of Pleasant View Nursing Home, and formerly of Boonsboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital. Born July 15, 1923, in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Paul R. and Mary A. Gross Ridenour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Russell Hoffman, in 1981.

She was employed by Washington County Hospital as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.

She is survived by one daughter, Barinda Golden; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn L. Ridenour.

Services were held at Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville.
