Gladys was born the 5th of 8 children in her family. She married young (15) to get out of her parents house. She met Dewey Sammons at church and they married July 4, 1929. Gladys was a hard worker and raised 6 great kids. She loved church and being a penticostal. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed making quilts and knitting all kinds of things. Grandma kept a very neat and clean house. She was an excellent cook and we all loved her biscuits and gravy and her chocolate pies! We miss her very much. I, long for those younger days when we spent the night with her and Grandpa and in the mornings getting up to the smell of eggs, coffee and biscuits and gravy. Grandma loved joking with her kids. They had water fights during the summer time, with buckets of water and anyone who came close got the water and it just tickled her to have fun with her boys. They miss you. But I miss you more.
