Gypsy Lou Fox, 79, RR 2 (Waldo Run Community), Salem, WV, died Saturday, May 15, 2010. at her Son's residence.
She was born May 1, 1931, in Lumberport, WV, a daughter of the late Carl and Alma M. Burns Hutson. She worked for Salem College for 20 years as secretary to the president, and retired from WV Public Service Commission with 10 years service as a secretary. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She loved music and sang in the church choir.
Surviving are her husband, Richard W. Fox, whom she married Oct. 5, 1960; two sons, Douglas W. Fox and his wife Jamie of Dacula, GA, and Walter Jeff Fox and his wife Loretta of West Union, WV; a daughter, Angela Edwards and husband Jeff of Clarksburg, WV; five grandchildren, Megan Brooke Fox, Cody Fox, Dylan Edwards, Kyle Fox, and Spencer Fox; two sisters, Nancy Jones of Clarksburg, WV, and Lena F. Swiger of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Marvin Hutson of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was a brother, David Hutson.
Services were held Tuesday, May 18th, at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Warger and Pastor Roger Fontain officiating. Interment followed in K of P Memorial Park, Salem.
