Double funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wells Funeral Home in Wellsville for Connie Ferne Ham, 13, and her brother, Stephen Lee Ham, age 4. Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery.
The children were killed in an automobile wreck Saturday night around 7:30 one mile north of Wellsville. They were with their mother, Mrs. Doris Ferne Ham of Middletown and a brother Tommy, 9 and a sister Karen 7, their car collided head on with a truck at the crest of a hill.
Mrs. Ham, Tommy and Karen were taken to the hospital. Tommy was released, but at last report Mrs. Ham and Karen are still hospitalized.
Connie Ferne, daughter of Forest Ham of Wellsville and Mrs. Doris Ferne Ham of Middletown was born in Audrain County, July 13, 1949. She was an eight grade pupil at the Middletown Elementary school; Stephen Lee was born in Audrain County April 24, 1952.
The children are grandchildren of T. O. Ham, former representative to the state assembly from Montgomery County.
