∼Joan E. (Fuller) Delzell, 79, of Castleton, passed away at 10:51 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. Joan was born on October 1, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Horace and Edna (Diston) Manuel. She married Glenn H. Fuller, Sr. in February 1962. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1994. She later married Michael Delzell on March 3, 2003 in Peoria; he survives.
Also surviving are four children Lori Nelson of Kirksville, MO, Gail Greathouse of Novinger, MO, Kim VanDyke of Ashburn, VA, and Glenn Fuller, Jr. of Geneseo, IL; six grandchildren, Deanna, Adam, Victoria, A.J., Max and Andrew; five great grandchildren, Jaceton, Makenzee, Chelsey, Kylei and Destiny; and one sister, Barbara Harmon of Maryland. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Michael and Brian; and one brother, Robert Manuel.
Joan moved to Illinois in the early 1970's. She previously worked in the banking industry in Philadelphia; and for the Bank of Wyoming, Ron's in Wyoming, and Cub Foods. She was also a former crew leader for Pioneer Hybrid.
Joan lived a very faithful and Christ-centered life. She was a member of the Princeville Baptist Church and a former member of the Bradford Baptist Church. She loved her family and her grandkids. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, attending classical music classes at ICC, and she enjoyed driving the tractor while her kids detasseled corn.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wyoming.
