Josephine Mitchell Foltz of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Ruth K. Mitchell of Sugar Grove, W.Va. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clarence Eugene Foltz; daughter, Sarah Foltz Vaughan and husband, David; son, Ernest Wayne Foltz and wife, Jan; two granddaughters, Julie Dankel and Jillian Dankel; grandson, Chad Foltz; two sisters, Norene M. Lambert and Betty M. McGahey, both of Harrisonburg, Va.
Mrs. Foltz was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Past Matron Fellowship Chapter, 140 O.E.S.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road.
The funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will follow 4 p.m. Friday at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Sugar Grove, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
