"Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Birely, 85, widow of James H. Birely, died at her home in Taneytown, Wednesday night. She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Abilonia [Abalonia] Haugh Stambaugh and was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ of Taneytown. Surviving are three sons, Vernon H. and Jacob Birely, both at home, and Robert Birely of Wheatland, Wyo. and four brothers, Jacob Stambaugh, Charles and Cleveland, all of Taneytown and Harry Stambaugh of Abbottstown, PA. Funeral services will be at C. O. Fuss funeral home in Taneytown Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening. Rev. William Wiley, her pastor, will officiate. Interment in the Keysville Cemetery."
