Brad McManus, 53, of Denton, was fatally injured in an automobile accident September 8, 2007, he has left this world to join his eternal father in heaven. He was born January 8, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee, to O. B. and Maybelle (Cote) McManus. He was raised in Princeton, Texas. He was married to Elwanda Gray on December 26, 1979 in Denton. He had a lifelong career with Denton County Termite and Pest Control, which spanned more than 30 years.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Elwanda of Denton; son, Sean and wife, Jamie, of Denton; daughter, Paula and husband, Wesley Bland, of Slidell; four grandchildren; Lane and Levi McManus, Meagan and Justin Bland; nephews, Mark Baird of Cross Roads and John Sullivan of Denton; sister, Sylvia and husband, Bill Baird of Cross Roads. Brad was dearly loved and will be missed by family, friends, and his well-served loyal customers.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2007 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Tim Epting officiating. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
