Calip B. Blagg-Funeral service for Calip Bart Blagg, 87, of Route 2, Denton, will be held at 3pm Wednesday at the Schmitz-Floyd-Hamlett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M. D. Bishop offficiating. Burial will be at the Trinity Cemetery. Mr. Blagg died at 12;45 pm Monday at the Denton Osteopathic Hospital. Born March 15, 1885, in Bell County, he was married to Mary Stella Gregory August 18, 1907 in Denton. She preceded him in death in 1969. He then married Fleda Mulkey Race October 26, 1970, in Denton. A resident of Denton County for 75 years, he was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. He was a farmer, state highway contractor, a saw mill operator, stock farmer and a house mover. He is survived by his wife, Fleda Blagg of Denton; five daughters, Mrs. Eunice Sparks of Pilot Point, Mrs. Mary Ashmore of Greenville, Mrs. Clara Norris of Pilot Point, Mrs. Alice Pockrus and Mrs. Pauline Miller both of Denton; two sons Bill and Eugene Blagg, both of Denton; two brothers, Jim Blagg of Denton and Johnny Shelhorse of Cleburn; 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
