Miss Mary Ellen Coons, 20, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Coons, 1225 East Jackson street, died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence, after an illness of 5 months. Miss Coons was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a graduate of St. Lawrence Parochial School.
Surviving besides the parents, is a grandmother, Mrs. Maude Coons. Miss Coons was a granddaughter of the late Ira Coons.
Rites will be conducted at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning by the Rev. Father E.J. Houlihan at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The body will be returned from the Meeks mortuary to the home, where friends may call after 2 o'clock this afternoon.
