Born April 24, 1919 in Manor Township, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Elizabeth (Sauder) Frey. He was married to Edith E. (Henry) Frey on March 8, 1941.
A Veteran of WWII, Louis proudly served with the US Army. A farmer for most of his life, Mr. Frey was also a carrier for the Millersville Post Office and in 1985 retired from the Penn Manor School District as a custodian. He was also a member of Stehman Memorial United Methodist Church in Millersville.
In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly missed by a son, Robert E. Frey, husband of Barbara, of Landisville; a daughter in law, Carla S. Frey, of Mountville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a brother Kenneth E. Frey, of Etters. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce H. Frey; twin brothers, Nelson and Richard Frey and a sister, Mary S. Kauffman.
Funeral Services will be held at the Stehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 485 Indian Run Road, Millersville, PA 17551 on Monday, August 16 at 10 AM with the Rev. Helen L. Adams officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may view at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, Exclusive Provider of Veterans Funeral Care, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, 717-872-2266, on Sunday between 7 and 9 PM and also at the church on Monday between 9 and 10 AM.
