Brockport: On Saturday, May 23, 2009. Dr. O'Laughlin, Michael C. District Superintendent Monroe II - Orleans BOCES and Vice President of the Monroe II - Orleans Educational Foundation and former Superintendent of Kendall Central School District.
Predeceseased by his parents former Mayor Michael C. O'Laughlin & Donna O'Laughlin of Niagara Falls, sister Ann V. Greene of Erie PA, brothers-in-law Robert Tauro of Pacific Palisades CA and Michael Richmond of Tuscon AZ. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Linda, children Colleen and Michael C. (Therese), grandchildren Michael & Lillian, sisters Rene and Katie, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, many friends and colleagues.
Friends may call Wednesday & Thursday from 3-7 pm at Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave Brockport. A funeral Mass will be said Friday at 11:00 am at the Nativity Church BVM Main St Brockport. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Monroe II - Orleans Educational Foundation and a scholarship at Kendall Central School District in his memory.
He was a long time employee of the Kendall Central School District. He taught fourth grade before becoming the Assistant Principal of Kendall Central School in 1985, and then served as Middle and High School principal until 2000, when he became Superintendent. In 2007, he was named Superintendent of the Monroe II-Orleans BOCES. A month and eight days after his death, his successor at Kendall Junior/Senior High, Michael Richter, passed away.
