F.S. Simpson, 94, Died Here Tuesday.
Was Resident of Community More Than Fifty Years.

Frank S. Simpson, well known Blair man, died at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair Tuesday. He was 94 years old. He had been a resident of Blair and community more than 58 years.

Mr. Simpson was born August 9, 1866 at Clinton, Ill., where he grew to manhood. On January 1, 1889 he was married to Margaret Smith at Clinton, Ill., and for a time the couple continued to make their home in Illinois. They were engaged in farming. Later they moved to Kansas, where they farmed.

Mr. and Mrs. Simpson moved to the Blair area 58 years ago. They farmed for a time and then moved to Blair. For more than 25 years they lived at the extreme end of Colfax Street.

Mrs. Simpson died in August, 1939. For the past 4 years, Mr. Simpson has lived at the Crowell Memorial Home.

Mr. Simpson was a member of the Methodist Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing two sons and a daughter. The sons are Harvey Simpson, well known Blair business man, and Clarence Simpson, one of the Washington County Supervisors. A daughter, Mrs. Warren Dolan, lives at Lincoln, Nebraska. In addition, there are five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A brother, 84, the Rev. Charles Simpson, of Hutchinson, Kansas, also survives. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald E. Springer conducting the services. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

Pall bearers are William Ziegler, Walter Petersen, H. Lyle Guyer, Roy Dolan, Roy H. Anderson, all of Blair, and Fay Jones of Tekamah.
