Mrs. Kenneth E. Adams
Mrs. Alta Adams of Apt. 228, Olean House, died Thursday (Oct. 1, 1981) in St. Francis Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Portville, on March 12, 1910, she was a daughter of W. Brayton and Bertha Wilcox Maxson. She was married to Kenneth E. Adams, who survives.
Mrs. Adams had been a lifetime resident of the Olean area.
Surviving besides her husband, are a son, Lloyd Adams of Olean; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Stimston of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Paul W. (Luella) Thornton of Portville; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Braton Maxson of Portville, and Howard Maxson of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) McKee of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Private funeral and committal services will be held in the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 East State St., Olean, at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
