Death Occurs at Home of Daughter in Sioux Falls, Rites Friday

Evan McClellan Befrage, retired Hartford S. D. , farmer died Tuesday night at the
home of a daughter . Mrs Jospeh Hales, 218 North Highland Ave. where he had been making his home the past month. Sixt -seven years old , he had been aling for the past 18 months.
Funeral services have been set for 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Miller Funeral chapel and burial will be made at Canton , S. D.
Born March 7, 1873 Oxford, IA, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Belfrage.
He was a resident of Iowa continuously until 1910 when he moved to a farm
near Canton. Thirteen years later he moved with his family to a farm near Hartford.
His marriage to Miss Nellie Jessie Snyder took place at Salix, IA. , in 1889.
She died about a year ago. Mr. Belfrage was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include four daughters , Mrs John B. Graning, 220 North Highland ave.
Mrs. Hales , Mrs Anna Smith ,Harford , and Mrs Jack Kennedy, Kansas City , Mo,
and five sons, Wilfred L. Beresford, S. D. , James C. , Hartford; De Walt , Humbolt S. D. , Lewis 304 North Highland ave., and Philip M. 225 South Jefferson ave.
There are six grandchildren , two brothers Wilfred L. Belfrage, Sergeant Bluff , Ia,
and Thomas Belfrage , Sioux City, and two sisters , Miss Jennie Belfrage
nd Mrs. Mary Holder, both of Sergeant Bluff. Besides his wife , on sister and one daughter preceded him in death .

the Miller funeral chapel with Rev C. D. Bullock pastor of the East Side Methodist
church officiating. Sons will serve as pallbearers and burial will be at Canton S. D.
