LaRue Presley Bleeker December 26, 1919 - August 8, 2010 LaRue Presley Bleeker of Delano passed away on August 8th, after a brief illness. She was 90 years old. LaRue was born in Duncan Oklahoma on December 26, 1919 to parents Alonzo Jinkens Presley and Minnie Magnora Boyd Presley, as the second of six children. In 1942 she married Delbert Bleeker in Okema, OK, and relocated to Delano, CA, where Delbert was working in the oil fields. LaRue worked in dry cleaning for forty years in and around Delano. Christ was important in her life, and she was an active member of Delano Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years, and lastly, Delano Community Worship Center. Although she never had children of her own, she was known for the love she gave every child she met. She had many "adopted grandchildren" whose pictures were everywhere in her home. Larue is survived by her sisters: Bonnie Eversole of Temple, TX; Sadie Bearden (John) of Springville, CA. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces: Clarence (Maria), Tom (Doris), and Wil (Susan) Risenhoover; Betty Mestaz (Charlie); Joyce DeArman (David); Alonzo Eversole; Belinda Davis (Ed); Cynthia Amicone (Nick); Delbert Bearden (Michelle); and many of the second, third and fourth generations. Funeral services and internment will be held on Friday, August 13th, 1pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Bakersfield. www.bakersfield.com/obits
