Frank J. Rocco, 72, of New

Britain; W. Palm Beach, FL and Old Lyme, passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, (Dec. 26, 2003) after 50 years of marriage to Pauline (Belliveau) Rocco. Mr. Rocco served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1953. He served as President of the Int'l Machinists Union at Stanley Works for 10 years. He was affiliated with the New Britain Labor Council. He worked for State Labor Dept. State of Connecticut for 33 years as a mediator. He was also a past Vice President and member of the AFSCME Union, Council 4. He was a member of various clubs and associations through the years serving the Calabria MIA Society, the Columbian Federation, The Italian American War Veterans, Bernadino-Badalato Post; The Italian American Democratic Club; The American Legion; The Sons of Italy; the Sound View Beach Assoc. Old Lyme, CT and was an active member of St. Ann's Church in New Britain. Besides his loving wife, Pauline. Mr. Rocco leaves behind two sons, Dr. Steven Rocco and his wife Martha of Waterbury and Frank J. Rocco Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; a daughter, Nancy McMahon and her husband Mark of East Hartford and several grandchildren, Diana Rocco of New York City; Christine and James Rocco of Granby; Megan and Michael McMahon of East Hartford and Jaclyn and Joanna Rocco of Plainville. He also leaves behind his brother, Santo Rocco and wife Patricia of New Britain along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on TODAY at 8:45 a.m. from New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church. Burial with military honor will be at Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours were on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit 1 miles on your right.
