Mrs. Hollis H. Lewis
MEADVILLE - Services for Mrs. Hollis H. "Susie" Lewis, 78, a resident of West Monroe, La., and a native of Franklin County, who died Wednesday in West Monroe, will be 1(1 a.m. today in Parker's Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville. The Rev. Burnett Caraway and the Rev. Charles Brister will officiate, and burial will be in Ramah Baptist Cfiurch cemetery in Franklin County.
Born Nov. 15, 1909, Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of Tom Laird and Narcissie Porter Laird. The widow of Hollis H. Lewis, she was a homemaker and a member of Ramah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lewis also was preceded in death by a grandson, Edwin Scott.
Survivors include one son, Thomas C Lewis of Monroe, La.; three daughters, Helen Lewis Scott of Meadville, Julia Lewis Roberts of Escatawpa and Edna Lewis Hester of West Monroe; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John W. Scott, Bill Scott, De Upton, Don Chase, Tom Lewis, Russell Roberts, Ralph Simpson and Ed Buckles.
