Funeral services were held yesterday at the Lake Street Methodist Church for Thomas Clayton Jarratt, 84, who succumbed Tuesday at the home of his son, P. B. Jarrett, on Highway 61 south of this city. The Rev. W. J. LeRoy, pastor of the Lake Street Church officiated at the service. Interment was made at Maple Grove Cemetery.

The deceased was well known in this section, having served as a pastor for many years, especially in the Lone Oak vicinity. He was a member of the Methodist church for 63 years and a minister and local deacon for 50 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sally Jarratt, whom he married in 1868; 8 children, 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
