She was born September 8, 1924, in Pender County, the daughter of Dennis Willwood and Rosie Batson King. She was also predeceased by her husband, William Grady Edens and sister, Gertrude King Geddie.
Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Lee (Kenneth) and Gena Clayton (Vernon) all of Sneads Ferry; grandsons, Ken Lee (Kathy) and Curtis Lee (Michelle) all of Hampstead; great grandchildren, Ben, Amber, Josh, and Lauren Lee all of Hampstead; step-great grandchildren, Walt and Emily Grimes and best friends, Mary Edens, Doris Groves and Buddy Dowd.
Mrs. Edens graduated from Topsail School and was a member of Barlow Vista Baptist Church.
Erma loved her family dearly and was much loved in return. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
