Daughter of John F. and Elizabeth Turner Witherel....Mother of Betty Jane McDonald Binder.

Pauline Witherel was an active Suffragette while at Lily Dale
She married to Walter Henry Binder and while living in Pittsburgh she happened to see a name, George Witherel, on a registry there. She knew her father's brother, George, had been missing for 40 years, so she told her father who traveled to Pittsburgh and confirmed it was his brother. That made the newspapers there.
Pauline's marriage to Walter Henry Binder ended in divorce.

Pauline's grandfather Corydon Turner was one of the Founders of what became Lily Dale, and Pauline was born there. Like many of the women of Lily Dale she was an active suffragette, and in the 1914 Women's Parade the 14 year old Pauline dressed as Betsy Ross and was towed by 10 boys dressed in yellow uniforms.
