Mrs. Mattie C. Kent
Dies Monday At
Plant City HOme
Mrs. Mattie C. Kent, 76, resident of the Valley for several years, died early Monday morning at the home of her son, J. T. Kent, Jr., 40 Underwood street Plant City.
Services were conducted from the residence Tuesday, the Reverand C. Carl Dollar officiating. Burial was in Shawmut, conducted by Johnson and Blakely. Six grandsons were pallbearers.
Mrs. Kent was born at Tallassee, and was a member of the Baptist church in Opelika.
She is survived by three sons, W. D. Reeves, J. T. Kent Jr., and Eddie B Kent; ond daughter, Mrs. Nora R. Lemley; three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Sims and Mrs. Jennie Durrow of Shawmut, and Mrs. Mollie Dupreast of Fort Sills, N. C.
