Jordan Randal Day, 16, died tragically in an automobile accident in Monroe, Ohio on August 12, 2010, just 20 days shy of his 17th birthday. Jordan was born on August 31, 1993 to Randy and Brenda Day in Oregon City, OR.
Fiercely handsome, smart and athletic, Jordan truly had the world at his feet. He excelled in advanced classes in school and was an all-conference golfer, qualifying this year for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship, a dream he'd had since he was a little boy. There was nowhere Jordan felt more at home than with his father, Randy, teeing off and making fun at each other's swing for a laugh; or at the dinner table among his family, standing up to better tell one of his animated tales or to deliver an impersonation. Honestly loved by everyone he knew, Jordan brought energy to every room.
Preceding Jordan in death was his grandfather, Leonard Jones. Surviving him are his parents, Randy and Brenda Day, West Chester, Ohio, his sisters, Jennifer Scholtes, Washington D.C. and Lindsay Scholtes, Los Angeles, CA., his grandparents, Jim and Linda Day, Chehalis, WA, and Marilynn Jones, Vancouver, WA., great grandmother, Emaline Day, Chehalis, his aunts Brenda (Dave) Balmelli, Chehalis, Julie (Brian) Mc Mullen,Vancouver, and Lisa (Mark) Dillon, Vancouver as well as his cousins and many friends.
