Abigail Newberry is listed as 4th child of Sarah Drake and Benjamin Newberry. They moved to Hudson, N.Y. Benjamin Newberry's will dated Feb. 14, 1787 mentions his wife, Sarah, son Benjamin, his son Josiah, and "my eldest daughter, Sarah." He gave to his daughter, Abigail, 1/16 part of a silver mine of "which I am now owner." (Surrogate Records, Hudson, N.Y.).
Abigail married Thomas Wheeler of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
Together they had 9 Children: James, Dorinda, Lucy, Sarah, Harriet, John, Nabby, Minerva, and Maria.
