James Marshall Ennis (1880 - 1960) is the son of Zachariah Taylor Ennis (1849 - 1923) and Margaret Elizabeth Clanton (daughter of John Daniel Clanton & Ellen Ophelia Strickland). James Marshal Ennis' father married his mother on 08 MAY 1867.

Note: As of the this writing the location of the grave of his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Clanton, has not been established. Some descendants of the family believe she may have been buried in an unmarked grave in Little Creek Cemetery, which is located on Fort Stewart Army Military Reservation, Bryan County, Georgia, where her husband, Zachariah Taylor Ennis (1849 - 1923) is interred. At this writing the search is still on for the location of her final resting place.
