She was awarded a degree in economics and business administration from UCLA. Preceded in death by husband Clifton Utley (married Sept. 1931), well known Chicago radio and television commentator. Mother of NBC and CNN newsman Garrick Utley.
Mrs. Utley was survived by 3 sons, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Cause of death: Kidney Failure
