Ester Mae Hobbs Moore, 85, of Goodview, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ralph B. Moore and daughter, Davanna Lynn, her parents, Roy and Vergie Hobbs, sisters, Blanche Ferguson and husband, John, and Ruth White and husband, Henry. She is survived by her brother, Roy Hobbs and wife, Hilda, of Lynn Haven, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Patti Patterson and Mary Sue Hughes; many special godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly. She was a member of Barnhardt Baptist since 1973. She was retired from Sears after 40 plus years of loyal service. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Vinton Chapel on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 12 noon. Officiating the service will be Pastor Joe Peters and the Rev. Joey Phillips. Interment to follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 17, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Vinton.
