Funeral for Robert E. Lee Coan, 77, will be today, Aug. 16, 2010, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Arnold Brackin and Waymon Fike officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral following at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Coan died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at his home. He was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Lawrence County to Ed and Cleady Coan. He was a retired carpenter and member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Warren Coan; his parents; brothers, Hershel Coan and Druie Coan; sisters, Lorene Hood and Carolyn Spillers.

Survivors include his son, Anthony Coan and wife, Pam, of Moulton; daughter, Donna Massey and husband, Mart, of Joiner, Ark.; brothers, Clyde of Mt. Hope, R.J. of Moulton, John and Clarence, both of Mt. Hope; sisters, Clara Ann Moore of Decatur and Phyllis Samford of Trinity; grandson, Brad Coan and wife, Julie, of Moulton; granddaughters, Leslie Dutton and husband, Hank, of Moulton, Alysia Elliott of Pittsburgh, Kera Massey of Hernando, Miss., Lauren Massey of Jonesboro, Ark. and Ally Massey of Joiner, Ark.; great -grandson, Gus Dutton; and great- granddaughter, Katie Mae Coan.

Pallbearers will be Brad Coan, Stacy Parker, Shannon Hill, David Hood, Freddy Hood and Bryan Coan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, Moulton.
