John O. Tunstall's next wife was Frances "Frankie" Patterson, the daughter of Joseph Patterson and Sarah "Sallie" Martin, who were originally of Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia. Was there a connection between Frances Martin, wife of the elder John Tunstall and Sarah Martin, wife of Joseph Patterson? Frances was born about 1818 in Kentucky. They were married about 1839 and were the parents of: Dulcenia Bonaparte, b. ca 1840; and Josephine R. b. ca 1844.
His next wife was Josephine Patterson, the older sister of Frances, who was born about 1814. They were married about 1845. Josephine Patterson Tunstall died on December 20, 1861 in Grayson County, Kentucky.
John O. Tunstall died on June 14, 1859. He was buried in the Tunstall Cemetery on a hill top near Lone Star in Grayson County, Kentucky. Also in this cemetery are stones marked with J.B.T., J.O.T., AND E.T.
VPB Speculation: It is possible that the J.B.T. was actually J.P.T. and that this was the stone for John O. Tunstall's wife Josephine Patterson Tunstall. It is my opinion that the J.O.T. stone belongs to son James O. Tunstall and the E. T. stone is for James' wife Eliza Shrader Tunstall. These stones have no dates.
