SUDDEN DEATH OF YOUNG WIFE

Mrs. Etta May Sears Pitt, wife of William H. Pitt, jr., died at her home 756 East Second South street, of Bright's disease yesterday morning.

She was the daughter of Isaac Sears of Sears & Jeremy, ad Sarah Jane Gailey Sears, and was born in this city, November 1, 1876. Mrs. Pitt was raised and educated here and possessed a wide circle of friends. She will be especially missed in the Eleventh ward where she has been an enthusiastic church and Sunday school worker. She was aiding in an entertainment to be given in the ward meeting house tomorrow evening, but which, on account of her decease, has been postponed till Thursday evening next.

Mrs. Pitt was married to William H. Pitt of the Salt Lake Street railway, less than a year ago. For two years previous to her marriage, she kept the books of the Sears & Jeremy company, and was an almost constant companion of her father. The bereaved husband and parents have the sympathy of a host of frieds in thir great loss.

Her death was very sudden. Only a few days ago, she was down town in her usual high spirits, laughing and chatting with friends.

The body will beinterred in the city cemetery today. The funeral services will be held in the Eleventh ward meeting house at 2 o'clock.
