VERONA - Mrs. Kathryn Lynn (Holmes) Kuykendall, 55, of 76 Maple Drive, and wife of Ernest Kuykendall, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday (Sept. 24, 1999) at the Augusta Medical Center.
She was born July 20, 1944, at Baltimore, a daughter of Anthony Doughty and Martha (Bacon) Holmes.
She was employed by Holiday Inn of Staunton.
Survivors in addition to her husband, to whom she was married on Nov. 5, 1961, include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin L. and Terri Kuykendall of Richmond and their children, Joshua, Hunter, and Leah Kuykendall, and David W. Kuykendall of Harrisonburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela M. and Dale Jack and their children, Travis, Krislynn, and Jordan Jack and Roger Lawson Jr.; a brother, Robert Holmes of Baltimore; and a sister, Helen Patricia Holmes of Baltimore.
A service will be conducted at 11 a. m. on Monday, at Henry Funeral Home, by the Rev. Phillip Dunford, with burial at August Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Shafer, Lenny Tolley, Joshua Kuykendall, Charlie Shifflett, Boyd Alder, and Roger Lawson Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p. m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2720 Enterprise Parkway, Suite 107, Richmond, VA 23294.
