Visitation was on October 7 at Palmer's Funeral Home in Fullerton, NE. Services were Friday, October 8th at the Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp near Genoa. The Rev. Roger Ridley and Rev. Roy Cupples officiated. Burial at Monroe, IA Silent City Cemetery on October 9th.
Mary was born on December 16, 1941 in Newton, IA to Donald F. Weiser and Lois Bernice Callison. At the age of three, her and her sister 'Ann' were adopted by Everett and Ethel (Kaldenberg) Tyrrell of Monroe IA. She grew up in Monroe, IA and attended schools there, graduating from high school in 1960.
On October 9, 1960, she married Roy Cupples in Monroe. She worked at her parents' restaurant in Monroe. In 1979, the family moved to Grand Island, NE. and in 1986, moved to Genoa, where they lived at the Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp. Her husband is the camp director and pastor at the Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton, which she was a member.
She loved to collect music boxes.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; two sons, Wesley of Fremont, NE and Warren of Omaha, NE.; one daughter, Joy 'Andi' (Mrs. Dave) Lacey of North Bend, NE; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Patty Ann Huyser and Vickie (Mrs. Tony) Pomenich, both of Washington State.
She was preceeded in death by both her natural parents and her adopted parents. Her natural father passing just one week before Mary. Also preceeding her is one brother, Larry Weiser.
