Marvin Bailey, 89, of Sheridan died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Sheridan Healthcare Center.

He was born June 8, 1912, in Boone County to Harvey & Minnie (Stanton) Bailey.

He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1939, and married Phyllis J. (Davis) Bailey on April 5, 1947 and she died May 28, 2010.

He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Terhune United Methodist Church, and the Sheridan Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Bailey is Survived by two sons Jack V. (Margaret) Bailey of Sheridan and Roger D. (Becky) Bailey of Fillmore; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Virgil and Clifford Bailey, his wife and parents preceeded him in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 East 10th St., Sheridan.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the funeralhome, with the Rev. Frank Ciampa officiating.

Burial will be at Crown View Cemetery.
