A.C. Kenedy
A.C. Kenedy, well known resident of this community for many years died at his home in Alfalfa about 10 a.m. Monday of this week. Altho partially disables for several years, he had not suffered greatly. He died suddenly after having spent a restful night.
Funeral services were held at the Alfalfa Baptist church at 4 p.m. Tuesday and interment was made in the Alfalfa cemetery. rev. W.A.R. Lovell preached the funeral sermon and he was assisted in the services by Rev. W.s. Deatherage. The Odd Fellow lodge of which he was a member had charge of the services at the grave.
Mr. Kenedy was born in southern
Arkansas Dec. 26, 1857 and at the time of his death was 75 years, 2 month and 28 days of age. Besides his widow he is survived by four sons: T.S. Kenedy and W.O. Kenedy of Alfalfa, G.C. Kenedy of Vinita and Carl T. Kenedy of Carnegie.
He united with the Christian church at the age of 20 years and had lived a constant Christian life. He has been a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge since 1904.
