He was born at New Castle on Feb. 21, 1948 to Mr. and Mrs. John T. Cole. Sr. The youth lived most of his life in Muncie and was graduated from Southside High School in 1966. This fall he would have been a sophomore at Ball State.
He was employed as a mechanic for his father at Johnny's Alignment, 2500 W. 8th St., and was a member of the Boys Club, and the EUB Church at Selma.
Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Jonna Sue and Carolyn Rose, both of Muncie; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Sutton, Muncie, and his maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Ida Cline, also of Muncie.
Friends will be received at Parson Mortuary on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday with burial in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
