Ella Wood was the daughter of Charles Foster Wood and Margaret Lindsey. Charles & Margaret married in Winston Co., MS in 1866, and moved to Hill Co., TX in 1867. They are buried in Ft. Graham cemetery in Hill Co. Ella was first married to Columbus Campbell Parker, who died in 1904. She then married Martin Van Buren Anglin in 1909, after his first wife, Margaret, died. However, Ella is buried with her first husband in Ridge Park Cemetery, and M. V. & Margaret Anglin are buried together at DeGraffenried Cemetery, which was moved to Whitney Memorial Park Cemetery in 1950, upon the building of Whitney Dam.

The Waco News-Tribune (Waco, Texas); Sixty-second year - Number 110; Saturday, March 8, 1958; Page 2, Column 7: "Mrs. Anglin, Ex-Hillsboro Woman, Dies -- HILLSBORO -- Mrs. Ella Anglin 88, died at her home in Fort Worth at 10:30 p. m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at Marshall and Marshall chapel in Hillsboro at 1 p. m. Saturday with Rev. Thurman Morgan of Fort Worth, Rev. Roy Martin, and Rev. Bruce Weaver of Hillsboro officiating, burial in Ridge Park cemetery. -- She was born in Bosque County. She lived in Whitney from 1902 to 1931, then moved to Hillsboro where she lived until last October when she moved to Fort Worth. She first married Campbell Parker in 1888. He died in 1904. She married M. V. Anglin in 1909. He died in 1927. She taught school in Bosque County and in Whitney. She was a member of the Hillsboro Central Christian Church. -- Survivors: two daughters, Mrs. Dessie L. Toohey of Fort Worth and Mrs. Cora Craddock of Granbury, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild."

Craddock, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dessie Toohey in Ft. Worth Thursday, March 6, 1958. She had been a resident of Hillsboro until her health failed and she came to make her home with Mrs. Toohey. She had been seriously ill for the past several months, during which Mrs. Craddock had spent most of the time at her bedside. -- Funeral services were held in Hillsboro at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8 with Rev. Roy Martin officiating. Interment was in the Hillsboro. -- In addition to her two daughters, she is survived by two grandsons, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild."
