Hannah Hawkins is listed on the 1850 McDowell Co., NC census (stamped
page 286) as age 21 with her parents John Hawkins and Elizabeth Jemison
and other children. There is a marriage bond in McDowell Co. for Hannah
Hawkins marrying Kenneth M. Finger on Nov. 21, 1855. I had not been able
to find Kenneth and Hannah in the NC census; but yesterday while looking
at on-line cemetery records for McDowell Co., I found in the Providence
United Methodist Cemetery a record for Mary McBee. Mary McBee was Mary
Hawkins, an older sister to Hannah. Listed next to Mary McBee in the
cemetery listing was a Hannah Brickey, Feb. 24, 1828 to Nov. 22, 1884.
Since I knew Mary had a sister, named Hannah, I started looking for
Brickey's and ran across your page that indicated Hannah Finger had
married Peter Brickey.
