Janet Rainey died June 25th at the home of a daughter, Mrs N. G. Daines in Logan, Utah following a brief illness caused by a stroke.
She was born at St Charles, Idaho December 18, 1870, a daughter of Ole and Julie Hanson. She came to Star Valley as a young woman, where she became the wife of D. W. Rainey. Six children were born to them, three of whom survive: Mrs Chas. W. Brown of Fairview, Wyo., Mrs N.G. Daines and Mrs A. G. Dewey of Logan Utah. There are also thirty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. One sister, Amelia Bracken of Nephi, Utah and a brother Heber Hanson of Freedom.
Funeral services were held in the Preston second ward, Bp. Howard Hall presiding, Burial was in the Logan cemetery.
