Funeral Services Will be Held Here at 2:00 o'Clock Friday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mrs. W. F. Adamson, a resident of Vermillion for the past five years, will be held from the Vermillion Gospel tabernacle Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. C. T. Beem, pastor of the tabernacle, in charge. Burial will be in Bluff View cemetery. Mrs. Adamson, who was 51[ERR, 59], died in a local hospital Monday night after an illness of about a week. Mrs. Adamson was born February 26, 1889[ERR, 1881], in Webster county, Iowa. She was educated in the public schools in Iowa and was married to W. F. Adamson April 8, 1902, at Ft. Dodge, Iowa. After living on a farm in Iowa for some time, the couple moved to South Dakota where Mr. Adamson worked as a newspaper man. They came to Vermillion five years ago. Mr. Adamson died July 14, 1939. The pallbearers at the funeral will be James Brown, Verdie Nelson, Leo Hollingsworth, Granville Grace, Willie Nelson, and Morris Long. Mrs. Adamson is survived by eight children, Lauren, David, and Harold, all of Vermillion; Mrs. Richard Goodin, Naperville, Ill., Marion Adamson, also of Naperville; Mrs. George Gilman, Fairmont, Minn.; George Adamson, Beaver Creek, Minn., and Ward Adamson, Seattle, Wash. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Elmore service.
