The Brattleboro Reformer, June 3 1980:

Edward Chapin Wright, 56, of 92 Elliot St., died Monday morning at the home of his son, David, at 22 Crosby St.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Ker Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert C. Hamm, minister of First Congregational Church. Burial will be at Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright was born in Brattleboro on June 8, 1923, the son a A. Chapin and May (Saderman) Wright. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was caretaker at Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery for many years. He was a member of Carl M. Dessaint Post 1034 VFW.
His marriage to the former Helen Newton was terminated by divorce.
Besides his son, David, Mr. Wright is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lola Bryant of Salisbury, N.C.; his father, A. Chapin Wright of Stuart, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Fairchild of Brattleboro and Mrs. Janice Bodor of Falls Church, Va.; a stepsister, Mrs. Suzanne Neilson of Hinsdale, N.H.; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
