Mrs. Helen Lowery, 63, wife of Charles R. Lowery, 8 14th St. S, dies Sunday morning at the Lowery cabin two miles south of Monarch, where she was spending the weekend with her husband.
Mrs. Lowery, a daughter of the late District Judge Jerry B. Leslie and Mrs. Helen T. Leslie, was born in Great Falls October 12, 1892. She attended schools here and in April of 1914 was married to Lowery in Great Falls. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Great Falls.
Her father served as judge of the Eighth Judicial District from 1896 until his death in 1925. Prior to his election to the bench, Judge Leslie was the city attorney and a law partner of Peter Baum.
Lowery, a pioneer Great Falls insurance executive is a founder of the Lowery-Dundas agency.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert L. Lowery of Great Falls, and two daughters, Norma Jean Hess of Great Falls and Mrs. Forrester Raine of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
