John Henry "Spider" Johnson was born April 11, 1943 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Nobel Johnson and Cliffteen Ridgeway. John attended Tahlequah Public Schools. He loved to D.J. at Club Reflections in Muskogee, Oklahoma. John also loved to work on old cars and collect them. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. John committed his life to Jesus Christ on May 27, 2010. John Johnson departed this life on Monday, August 16, 2010 in Tahlequah at the age of 67 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jackie Keys-Mayberry; one son, Ronald Johnson; two sisters, Marilyn Ridgeway and Betty Johnson; five brothers, Roy Riggs, James Ridgeway, Charles Johnson, Norvel Johnson and Claude Johnson. Survivors include his children, John Eric Johnson and wife Retha of Kansas City, MO, Corinthians Nelson and husband Darryl of Tahlequah, OK, Tina Johnson of Kansas City, MO, Rodney Johnson and wife Paula of Kansas City, MO, Jamelia Johnson and husband Dominque of Broken Arrow, OK and Tyrone Harris of Tulsa, OK, Lametria McDowell of Tahlequah, OK and Rodney Green of Long Beach, CA; eight sisters, Carolyn Sheppard and husband Maurice of Tahlequah, OK, Gwen Antwine and husband Edgar of Muskogee, OK, Norma Jean Keys of Tulsa, OK, Pam Lasane of Atlanta, GA, Sandra Keys of Tulsa, OK, Mildred Rigsby of Tulsa, OK, Carlette Riggs of Tahlequah, OK and Nita Jo Johnson of Tulsa, OK; three brothers, Calvin Riggs, of Tahlequah, OK, Glenn Riggs and wife Lori of Tahlequah, OK and Larry Ridgeway and wife Doris of Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two special grandsons, Shannon & Shaun Johnson, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Walter Brown, Jr. will preside. Interment will follow at the Ross Cemetery in Tahlequah. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Hart Funeral Home.
