James is the son of Spencer Clack Randles and Rebecca Cowan.

Grandson of James Randles & Rhoda Clack

Great-grandson of Lt. Spencer Clack and Mary Beavers

Married Delitha Tremilla McDonald (AKA D.T. or Dialta)
m. abt 1870
b. Sept. 22, 1852
d. Feb. 3, 1912

D.T. is the daughter of Zadach McDonald and Matilda Francis Randles. (Yes, D.T.s mother, Matilda, was James' first cousin, daughter of his uncle John and wife Mary Rogers. Mary is the daughter of Rev. Elijah Rogers and Beulah Clack and yes, Beulah is the sister of James' grandmother, Rhoda Clack)

James and D.T. are first found together in the 1870 census.

They were also found in the "History of Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Webster, Wright, Texas, Pulaski, Phelps and Dent Counties, Missouri" Page 558 as follows:

"Bethlehem Baptist Church was organized April 22, 1871, by Elders William C. Edwards and L.A. Smith, with James Lindsay, J.K. Brashears, James Randles, Permelia Wollard, Sarah Randles, D.T. Randles, Matilda McDonald, A.C Wollard and S.E. Gann as members."

Of the people listed, Matilda McDonald is D.T.'s mother. Permelia may be one of James' sisters and A.C. may be her husband. Sarah Randles may be James' Aunt on his father's side. If so, she did not stay in Missouri since she died in Tennessee.

James and D.T. had at least 9 children
