Mary Louise Jamison, RN BSN, 71, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 14, 2010, surrounded by family. She fought long and often to maintain her health but succumb quietly to the odds against her.

1960 Graduate of University of Washington School of Nursing and member of the UW Alumni Association. She had been looking forward to her 50th reunion this fall. While at the UW, she acquired the nickname of "Bones". Marilou worked as an RN for 29 years at Shasta County Mental Health before retiring.

Marilou held a passion for music and entertained often playing her piano, banjo and harmonica. Avid RV camper, enjoying such places as the Oregon Coast and could be found on the beach walking her beloved canine friends, KD and Bingo. Member of Tucker Oaks Women's Golf Association playing whenever possible.

Born September 6, 1938 in Spokane, WA.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Irving, brother David L. Irving, and niece Kathleen King.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Shawn Mitchell of Lakewood, WA; friend and domestic partner of 26 years, Mary Boyd of Redding; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bob Coon of Rapid City, SD; Nieces Linda Irving of San Miguel, CA; Paulette Irving of Stateline, NV; Claudia Douglas of Rapid City, SD; and nephew Ron Irving of Nederland, CO.
