Luther T. Gilbow died at his home east of Caruthersville last Thursday following a stroke of paralysis. He was 80 years old.
He was born January 22, 1860, near Point Pleasant, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married last December 5, and three sons by a former marriage, Louis of Blytheville, Arkansas, Willie of Osceola, Arkansas and Welton of Luxora, Arkansas; one brother, William who lives near Parma, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock by the Rev. Paul Bynum at the Nazarene church. Burial was in Little Prairie cemetery.
