Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Etter Funeral Home here for William Norman, 78, who died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Staunton Hospital. He had been ill for the past eight months and before entering the Staunton hospital had made his home with a son, Jack Norman, of 505 Bayard Avenue, Waynesboro. Services tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. T. Wayne Rieman, pastor of the Church of the Brethren and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
Mr. Norman was born april 19, 1868, in Page County, the son of the late Samuel and Fannie Norman. He is survived by five sons, Jack, Lester, Robert, and Carl, all of Waynesboro,; and ?, Staunton; by one daughter, Mrs. Dora Stinespring, of Waynesboro; and by a number of grandchildren.
Pallbearers at services tomorrow will be: D. D. Royer, W. B. Courtney, George Phillips, B. B. Barker, William Morris, and R. B. Berry.
Honorary pallbearers are listed as grandchildren: Louis, David, Marvin, Caroll and Alfred Norman, and Leonard Kline.
