Mr. Legleiter was the son of the late Nicholas and Katherine (Urban) Legleiter. He was also preceeded in death by two brothers, fours sisters, and a daughter-in-law.
He was a retired shipping plant manager for the Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia, IL. He was also a World War II U. S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Angelita (Staab) Legleiter; a son Wayne Legleiter of Castle Rock, CO; two daughters, Diana (Frank) Moll of St. Louis, MO, and Carol (Wayne) Nelson of Casper, WY; a brother, William (Rita) Legleiter of Liebenthal, KS; a sister, Irene (Henry) Herman of Hays, KS; two grandchildren, Kevin Moll of Ithica, NY, and Stephanie Moll of St. Louis, MO; and other relatives and friends.
Services were held on Monday, May 21, 2001, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia, IL with Fr. John Iffert presiding.
