Mrs. Elizabeth Brough, wife John J. Brough, and the mother of nine children, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock from a complication of diseases following an illness of seven months at the Brough home, 640 Union Alley. She was 49 years old and leaves her husband and the following children: John B., Leroy, Ray, Irene, May, Cora, Allen, Jeanette and Richard. Three brothers, Frank and Zacharias Blouch and John Lutz, are also left. She was a member of the Salem U. B. church. [Lebanon Semi Weekly News, October 30, 1916, Page 5]
