Mrs. Mary Wilson
Grandma Wilson was taken very ill Tuesday night and Friday was taken to the Red Cross hospital where she passed away Friday night a little after midnight. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at one o'clock conducted by Rev Roberts at the undertaking parlors at Oak Creek, burial at Yampa cemetery. A little more than a year ago grandma came here to be near her only child Mr. O. L. Wilson. During this short period she made many friends by her sweet smile and loving disposition. She was a devoted christian.
"Through all the pain at times she'd smile.
A smile of Heavenly birth;
And when the angels called her home, She smiled far well to earth;
Heaven retaineth now our treasure, Earth the lonely casket keeps;
And the sunbeams love to linger, Where our sainted mother dwells."
The Oak Creek Times, June 5, 1925.
